The annual Woodbine MainStreet back-to-school luncheon brought together our amazing staff, IGNITE team, and community leaders. Pulled pork sandwiches, fantastic sides, and delicious desserts fueled great conversations and new connections.
Superintendent Wagner introduced our newest team members, while MainStreet director Deb Sprecker shared exciting community initiatives. It's partnerships like these that make our school truly special!

The first day of school for Pre-kindergarten students is Sept. 3rd.
Also, there will be an open house for all PK-12 grade students and parents on Wednesday, Aug. 21st. We will follow a similar process as last year in encouraging attendance alphabetically. If your last name begins with A-M, please try to attend from 4:00 - 5:00. If your last name begins with N-Z, please try to attend from 5:00-6:00.

Jeromie Meyer, class of 2015, is set to make his debut on the U.S. Men's Wheelchair Basketball National Team at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games!
Jeromie's journey is nothing short of remarkable. 17 years ago, he suffered a spinal cord injury after being struck by a drunk driver while cycling. Today, he's not just surviving - he's thriving and representing our nation on the world stage!
His achievements include:

Gold at the 2022 World Championships
Gold at the 2022 Americas Cup

Meet Melanie Anderson, our 5-12 Academic Interventionist for the 24-25 school year. We are excited to have her on the team since she comes with 19 years in education. Melanie has experience teaching special education, 5th grade, and recently, working as a literacy consultant at Green Hills AEA. When she’s not assisting students to reach their goals with literacy, you’ll find Melanie busy with her children. Adam, Gerrit, and Evelynn keep her busy with activities such as soccer, baseball, and dance.

Bryce Warner, a WCSD graduate, has returned home after completing his undergraduate degree in Business Education and Special Education at Buena Vista University. Bryce brings a wealth of experience from Treynor, where he taught 5-12 special education and coached multiple sports.

Coaching high school football
Jr. high wrestling
Heading the fishing club
Guiding archery
