Here is the schedule for Prom and After-Prom this Saturday, April 11th. The Grand March will start at 5:00 PM, and the doors will open at 4:30 PM in the High School Gym.

Have you heard of Coach Rod Smith? For 33 years, he was the heartbeat of Woodbine track, athlete, farmer-turned-coach, head coach, mentor, and the one who helped raise a legacy. We’re proud to announce that the CO-ED Invitational will be named the Rod Smith Invitational in his honor. Join us tonight at 4:30 PM for field events and 5:00 PM for running events to celebrate a man who coached his own kids to state, learned from great mentors, and gave so much to our community. Ever have a teacher who’s been there since day one? Same teacher since kindergarten → senior year. Favorite moments: class hangouts and field trips with Alison. After graduation, she will be stepping into the community as a CNA, and in 10 years, I see myself still dedicated to this career. Shoutout to my parents, Kevin & Jonie, and my siblings, Jesse (29), Dalton (23), and Kameron (20), for their support. Underclassmen tip: do your work on time — don’t get behind!

13 students were able to attend the SWICDA honor choir at Lewis Central High School on Tuesday, March 10th. While several other students went to the state basketball game that day, these students opted for an afternoon of singing with several other Southwest Iowa schools under the direction of a guest conductor. They each learned five songs that afternoon and put on a concert that evening at 7 pm. The students who attended were:

10‑Year Vision: Own a chiropractic clinic in Woodbine and start a family. Advice for peers: “Don’t wait until the last minute to do stuff.”

The Next Chapter: Heading to ISU to earn a degree in Political Science while participating in the ROTC program.
The 10-Year Vision: I see myself flying planes—hopefully for the military!
Favorite HS Memory: Qualifying for the Shuttle Hurdles during my freshman year of Track and Field. It was a rainy meet, but we ran the race of our lives!
Advice to Underclassmen: Try every sport, club, or activity that comes your way so you don’t regret not doing more later.
