Senior Spotlight: Xander Johnson
We're excited to highlight Xander as he prepares to graduate!
Parents: Matt and Regina Williams
Extracurriculars: Baseball, Basketball, Golf, and Cross Country
In 10 years, he hopes to have his own home and an established job after attending Western Iowa Tech. Fun fact: Xander scored an impressive 36 points in a game against Tri-Center!
His advice for underclassmen? "Get classes done in your early years!"

Get ready for an action-packed evening at the Denison-Schleswig COED Relays starting at 4:30 PM!
Girls will throw the Shot Put first, followed by the Discus. Boys will start with the Discus and then move to the Shot Put. Everyone gets 4 throws!
Plus, Long Jump on the west side of the runway, and the High Jump competitions with the girls at the NE Pit and the boys at the SE Pit.

Senior Spotlight: Anna Jochims!
Meet Anna, a talented student and athlete! She’s been a part of volleyball, show choir, track & field, softball, Student Council, and Key Club since 8th grade! After graduation, Anna plans to study nursing at DMACC and dreams of being a nurse while raising a family.
Fun Fact: She loves shopping! and is the daughter of Stacy and Jeremy Jochims.

Woodbine had another successful Child Fair. 33 families signed up to get their vision and hearing screened and they all got to meet the Woodbine Preschool staff.




Senior Spotlight: Meet Marcus Hesman!
Parents Bob and Stacey are cheering him on as he wraps up his high school journey. Marcus has been involved in Plays/Musicals, Speech, Show Choir, Choir, Track, and Band. After graduation, he plans to move to Wausau, WI, to join the Firefighting Academy!
Fun fact: he hates cinnamon rolls!

Senior Spotlight: Carter Gruver!
Carter, son of Hank and Heather Gruver, has made memories on the basketball court, golf course, and baseball diamond. After graduation, he’s set to study Marketing and continue his basketball journey.
Carter cherishes seeing friends every day and those unforgettable bus rides to games! His advice to underclassmen? "Work hard at the things you love."

Senior Spotlight: Hayden Groves 🌟
Meet Hayden, a dedicated student with big dreams! After graduation, he plans to explore his career options and attend college, aiming for a future in a mechanic shop. He’s been active in baseball, football, and track, with his fondest memory being his time on the baseball field in 9th grade.
Fun fact: Hayden loves driving go-karts!
Siblings? He’s got a big family with Garrett (19), Ashton (16), Curran (15), Bryer (13), Zayn (12), Parker (11), and little Bennett (4).
His advice for underclassmen? "Don't get stressed out about things; go through life open-handed."

Senior Spotlight: Meet Karter Green!
As he prepares to graduate, Karter has big plans for the future! He’s headed to Iowa State to pursue a master's in Athletic Training, with hopes of becoming a professional athletic trainer.
Karter has been active in track, basketball, and football, and he has a fun passion for small-town figure 8 racing!
His advice for underclassmen? "Enjoy every second of high school because when you get to your senior year, it will be gone in the blink of an eye."

Meet Briana, daughter of Tom and Nycole Ganzhorn! After graduation, she’s heading to SoHo Hair Academy to pursue her cosmetology license.
Briana’s love for theater and speech shines through her high school journey. One of her best pieces of advice for underclassmen? "Don't worry so much about what other people think!"

Meet Cody, who has excelled in Football, Baseball, Golf, Basketball, FFA, and NHS! After graduation, he plans to attend DMACC to study Agriculture Business and return to Woodbine to work in the agriculture field.
Fun Fact: Cody bought popcorn for MLB’s Ronald Acuña Jr. and got a signed baseball in return!

Meet Adam Barry, an outstanding senior with a passion for sports and leadership! Participating in Cross Country, Track & Field, Basketball, Student Council, Key Club, National Honor Society, Show Choir, and Tiger Vision, Adam truly embodies the spirit of commitment and excellence!
After graduation, he plans to attend a four-year university to major in finance. In 10 years, Adam envisions buying his first home after exploring the world and completing his Master's degree.
His advice to underclassmen? "Get uncomfortable, try new things, and be okay with failure. You will only continue to grow as a person if you can accept that you are wrong and can learn from it."
