Senior multi-sport standout Charlie Pryor has officially signed her letter of intent to continue her softball career at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux, Falls South Dakota where she will pursue a degree in Exercise Science! Charlie has been a 4 year starter for our softball program where she has been a star since her first summer. She has been selected for 1st Team All-State all four years and currently holds 7 single-season and career records for both hitting and pitching with a few more in sight. She has a lifetime batting average of .459 and currently sits at 71 wins in the circle with a monstrous strikeout total of 930! She will wrap up her Tiger career on the diamond this summer where she will no doubt add to her lengthy list of accomplishments! Congratulations to our amazing Speech team! We're thrilled to announce that 4 out of 6 groups advanced to the State Large Group Contest on Saturday, February 8th in Waukee! Special shoutout to the Reader's Theater, "Emotional Baggage," featuring Aaron Colwell, Eva Davis, Marcus Hesman, Briana Ganzhorn, Reagan Cogdill, Addyson Harris, and Peyton Fitchhorn for receiving a "1" rating! Also earning "1" ratings are the short films "Perdita Sed Invenit" by Sarah Andregg and "AI vs. My Old Sketchbook" by Leah Claar, as well as the Ensemble Acting performance, "Excerpt from Trifles" by Briana Ganzhorn and Reagan Cogdill! Owen Wingert has officially signed his letter of intent to continue his track career at Simpson College in Indianola, IA where he plans to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. Wingert wrapped up the best cross country season of his high school career, culminating in a 103rd place finish at the state meet, helping the Tigers to their third straight third place finish as a team. Owen has been a part of four trophy winning teams, three in cross country, and a runner-up finish in track. Owen holds personal bests of 18:14 in the 5k, 2:05 in the 800m, and 57.76 in the 400m Hurdles. This spring, Owen will look to be a big part of the Tigers’ success on the track and make a name for himself in the 800m.
