Woodbine Community School District

The Unified Activity Federation (Iowa High School Athletic Association, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Iowa High School Music Association, and Iowa High School Speech Association) Non-Contact Period for the summer of 2024 will be Sunday, July 28, 2024, through Sunday, August 4, 2024. This is the third year of an annual break in activities across Iowa each summer. During this time, there will be no activities in the Woodbine Community School District to include camps, clinics, workouts, strength and conditioning, lessons, meetings, etc.

Earlier this week, our preschool educators attended the fascinating "All About Balance" session in Creston. This innovative program encourages young learners to: Explore the role of balance in everyday objects Understand balance in human movement Appreciate balance in art and aesthetics Learn about balance in technology and engineering The best part? This is just the beginning! Our teachers will continue their learning journey with follow-up sessions on Saturdays throughout the school year. State Softball and Baseball Tournaments are taking place this week. State Softball is being played in Fort Dodge, for all classes. State Baseball classes 1A & 2A are being played in Carroll with Classes 3A & 4A playing in Cedar Rapids. The Iowa High School Athletic Association has announced its postseason baseball pairings for the 2024 season. Woodbine will host Audubon at 7 PM on Saturday, July 6th. Tickets MUST be purchased online, starting today, Wednesday, July 3rd @ 9 AM. Tickets will be $6 until the substate, then increase to $8 at the substate level.
