The Latch Key kids had an amazing trip on Thursday to Scatter Joy Acres in Murray, NE! They got to see so many rescued animals, including kangaroos, peacocks, puppies, horses, tortoises, and more! This was such a memorable day — not only did they get up close (but respectfully distant!) with the animals, but they also showed what it means to be respectful, responsible, and safe. We received more compliments from staff and visitors than ever before about how well our kids handled themselves. Even when other visiting groups weren't being safe, our students showed maturity by reminding others, "Please stop," or "You're not being safe." We are SO proud of their behavior and kindness. What a great day of learning, adventure, and leading by example! What a fantastic day! Our summer daycare crew went on their very first field trip today, and it was a blast! One of our brave kiddos even volunteered to introduce the magician and did an amazing job speaking in front of a crowd of nearly 200 people! We enjoyed the show, had a picnic with hot dogs, chips, and cookies, and finished the day with some fun at the park! To say Miss Dee is proud of our Terrific Tigers would be an understatement — they were kind, respectful, and so responsible all day long!
