Big day ahead for our talented Tigers! Eva Davis, Rowan Kruse, Vincent Meisinger, and Quinn Sherer will be auditioning for a spot in the Iowa All-State festival today in Atlantic. After months of practice with our choir director, Mrs. Feller, and attending camps, they've mastered 7 challenging pieces—4 in foreign languages!

Auditions are intense, with students performing solo, duet, trio, or quartet styles. They compete against schools of all sizes, and even if the outcome isn't what they hoped for, the experience is invaluable! #woodbineactivities #allstatefestival

Success isn’t just a goal, it’s a result.
Thanks to our personalized learning system, staff, students and families, Woodbine students are excelling. Let's start by celebrating our elementary scores:
99% Math Proficiency (Up from 75%)
91% Literacy Proficiency (Up from 63%)
These aren’t just numbers. They’re proof that when students are more than a number, they soar.

Woodbine’s Jr. ROTC program prepares students for leadership roles

There are only three Jr. ROTC high school programs in the state of Iowa; two reside in Des Moines, and the other one is in Woodbine. Students from other area high schools can enroll in the program, as it is free to all students, including uniforms.

The purpose of the Marine Corps Junior ROTC program is "to prepare high school students for leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens." The Marine Junior ROTC program produces successful students and productive adults while fostering a more constructive and disciplined learning environment.

The Marine Corps JROTC program has a standard curriculum that includes a variety of academic subjects in the following areas: Leadership, Citizenship, Personal Growth and Responsibility, Public Service, and Career Exploration. In addition to the standard Marine Corps JROTC classes, the program includes distinguished guest speakers, significant outdoor training and physical fitness and lastly and most importantly, living the values of the Marine Corps daily. Cadets are taught military drill and proper wear of the Marine Corps uniform.

Proud of our Woodbine students in grades 6-8 who auditioned for the Iowa OPUS Honor Choir this year! Although none made it this time, their dedication and hard work truly shone through. Ms. Feller was thrilled to see their growth in just a month! This experience will continue to inspire them on their musical journeys.#woodbineactivities #woodbineopus #wcsdculture
