Exciting news! Shawna Harris has been awarded the Turing Tumble STEM Scale-Up award! Shawna spent her summer at a training day in Creston, proving that dedicated educators never stop learning. The Turing Tumble is an innovative STEM game that teaches computer fundamentals through marble-powered, mechanical computers. Imagine students solving logic puzzles with their hands instead of screens, all while reading an engaging graphic novel! Summer break? Not for these dedicated educators! Maureen Allen and Shawna Harris are spending their summer at STEM Scale-Up training, focusing on Artificial Intelligence for K-12 Educators. This innovative program combines in-person workshops, virtual modules, and collaborative sessions to bring AI into the classroom. What's on the agenda? • Exploring AI perception and natural interaction • Discussing the societal impact of AI • Creating and sharing lesson plans with peers Kudos to these teachers for preparing our students for the future!

Earlier this week, our preschool educators attended the fascinating "All About Balance" session in Creston. This innovative program encourages young learners to: Explore the role of balance in everyday objects Understand balance in human movement Appreciate balance in art and aesthetics Learn about balance in technology and engineering The best part? This is just the beginning! Our teachers will continue their learning journey with follow-up sessions on Saturdays throughout the school year.
