What a fantastic day! Our summer daycare crew went on their very first field trip today, and it was a blast! One of our brave kiddos even volunteered to introduce the magician and did an amazing job speaking in front of a crowd of nearly 200 people! We enjoyed the show, had a picnic with hot dogs, chips, and cookies, and finished the day with some fun at the park! To say Miss Dee is proud of our Terrific Tigers would be an understatement — they were kind, respectful, and so responsible all day long! He’s heading to Nationals for the third time! What an incredible day for our kids, all thanks to a STEM Grant! We kicked off our adventure with a backstage tour at Bellevue Chick-fil-A, where the owner shared the science behind cooking—temperature, cleanliness, timing, and the freshness of ingredients. After that, we headed to Gene Leahy Mall Park, where the kids had a blast sliding down metal slides on cardboard! We even made stops at Hollywood Candy and Coldstone Creamery, tasting all the sweet ways sugar is a key ingredient! #stemandfood
